M. Louise Jean (Beaudet) Fraser M. Louise Jean (Beaudet) Fraser passed away on July 9, 2016. She was born on the Beaudet family farm three miles east of Struthers Lake in the Kinistino-Meskanaw district. A spirited young woman, she liked to go to the odd dance, when possible. Once, after a blizzard, she convinced her older brother Albert to drive the Model T on the railway tracks so they could get to town for a dance. (Beside Highway 41 just west of Meskanaw stands the McCloy Creek train trestle that she swears they drove over.) She also remembered her father Louis waking her to do chores on a few Sunday mornings, "Louise!...Louise!...The cows didn''t go dancing last night!" During WWll, she went to Ajax, Ontario to work in a tracer round factory. She loved it but shortly was called back home to help out with the farm. In 1944, while working as a cashier at the Red Robin Café on Broadway Ave in Saskatoon, she met her husband-Jerry Fraser. They married in December and had 62 and a half years together until 2007 when Dad passed from complications of a stroke. Along the way, they picked up a house, a cabin at Emma Lake, five children, nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. A typical Canadian life. After her youngest entered school, mom reentered the workforce, ending as a realtor -a position she enjoyed immensely. Louise was predeceased by a son, Reginald John and two infant children; parents; Louis Stanislaus Beaudet and Yvonne Suignard; sisters Louise and Marie; brothers Albert and Louis. Her surviving children are Denise, Laurie, Jim (Joyce), and Diane (Doug). No flowers please, contributions to St. Paul''s Palliative Care Unit are gratefully accepted. A Prayer Vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 11, 2016 with the Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2016. Both services will be at St. Philip Neri Roman Catholic Parish (1902 Munroe Ave.). Rite of Committal will take place in Woodlawn Catholic Cemetery. Condolences may be left at www.saskatoonfuneralhome.com Arrangements are entrusted to Lyle Burkell at the SASKATOON FUNERAL HOME, 306-244-5577.
