Louise Hammond Jackson, 93 BATH -- Louise Hammond Jackson, 93, of High Street, died Friday, Aug. 24, 2007, at Hawthorne House, Freeport. The daughter of John Alexander and Harriet Bill Hammond, she was born in Medford, Mass., on Oct. 21, 1913. After graduating from Medford High School in 1931, she worked at John Hancock Insurance in Boston, Mass. On Nov. 21, 1937, she married Perry S.S. Jackson and filled her life with raising four children. As the wife of a Boy Scout executive she lived in many communities, where she played an active role in youth, church, and garden organizations. Upon retirement she and her husband moved to Beaver River, Nova Scotia, where they operated an antiques business for many years. She was a life member of Beaver River United Baptist Church and a charter member of St. Andrews Scottish Society of S.W. Nova Scotia. She was predeceased by her husband, Perry S.S. Jackson; her sons, Douglas Hammond Jackson and Gregory Jay Jackson; her brother, John A. Hammond; and her son-in-law, John A. Thibodeau. She is survived by her daughters, Pauline J. Thibodeau of Bath, and Janet J. Durham and her husband James E. of Woolwich; her grandchildren, Mark A. Thibodeau, Susan T. Sullivan and her husband Daniel P., Gigi Thibodeau and her husband Todd P. Avery, Jason D. Durham and his wife Megumi Nezu-Durham, and La Doughty and her husband Fred III; her great-grandchildren, Peter C. Sullivan and John R. Sullivan; her cousin, Franklyn Bill; and several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held at 4-6 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007, at David E. Desmond & Son Funeral Home, 638 High St., Bath. A graveside service followed by interment will be held at Dean Hill Cemetery, Orrington, at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Box 50 Memphis, Tennessee 38101; or to any charity dedicated to the welfare of children. Arrangements are by David E.
