Louise Carver Cox, age 79, of 245 Singing Pines Road, Seneca, died Monday, March 24, 2003, at her residence. Born in Oconee County, Oct. 30, 1923, Mrs. Cox and her late husband, James Franklin Cox, were owners/operators of the James F. Cox Construction Co. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Seneca and Eastern Star No. 184-Courtney Chapter. She also attended Open Door Baptist Church. Survivors include: Sisters, Lillian Remmers and Loice Wade, both of Seneca; nieces, Robbie Ann White and Vickie Ketterman, both of Seneca; and great-nephews, Michael White, Christopher Sweenor and James Sweenor, all of Seneca. Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her husband, James Franklin Cox, and parents, Ed and Nettie Stancil Carver. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2003, at the chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jimmy Boggs officiating. Burial will follow at Chauga Baptist Church Cemetery. The body is at the Sandifer Funeral Home in Westminster, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight, March 26, 2003. The family requests that memorials be directed to Chauga Baptist Church Building Fund and Cemetery Fund, 206 McCall Road, Westminster, SC 29693. The family is at the residence of her sister: Loice Wade, 270 Singing Pines Road, Seneca.
