Louise Anderson was born in Sioux City, Iowa, to parents of Swedish ethnic origins, and died on Aug. 12, 2011, at Glen Cove Nursing Pavilion in Panama City, Fla. She graduated from Central High School in Sioux City. Lou married the love of her life, Joseph B. Anderson, in 1941 and raised their family of three girls in Sioux City, Iowa, Appleton, Wis., Little Rock, Ark., and Cincinnati, Ohio. Lou and Joe moved to Panama City in 1979 where she became very active in the First United Methodist Church for more than 30 years, participating in the Wesley Bible Class Sunday School, United Methodist Women's Society and loyally attending the Wednesday night supper. Lou was a stalwart supporter of her extended family and helped raise several grandchildren, gathering the family for holidays and special events throughout the year. She was positive, optimistic and always ready to prepare a meal.Lou was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Joe Anderson, who died in 2010.Survivors include her daughters, Kay Bowling and husband, Hershel, of Acworth, Ga., Jan Cook and husband, Dr. Jim Cook, of Panama City, and Dr. Pat Anderson and husband, Jim Green, also of Panama City; her brother, Dr. Chuck Brodine and wife, Lois, of Gaithersburg, Md., her sister, Mildred Peterson of Omaha, Neb.; four grandsons, Jimmy Cook of Atlanta, Ga., Mikal Bowling of Douglasville, Ga., Joey Bowling of Acworth, Ga., and Patrick Bowling of Roswell, Ga.; and numerous nieces nephews and great-grandchildren.Date, time and place for a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
