Louise (Bauer) Allen, formerly of Kensington, died Nov. 12, 2008 at Middlesex Hospital. She grew up in New Britain and was a graduate of New Britain High School and the Teacher's College of Connecticut. She was a lifetime member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the W.E.L.C.A. She lived in Kensington for 45 years. She taught school for 40 years in the New Britain and Berlin school systems. She is survived by a daughter, Lynn Hahn and son-in-law John as well as two grandchildren, Christopher and Jaclyn Hahn of Mass. and a brother, William Bauer of Avon. A memorial service was held Nov. 14, 2008 at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home New Britain. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Fairview Cemetery.
