PETERS, Louis "Pete" E., 83, of Hudson, passed away January 27, 2004 at Bear Creek Nursing Center. He was born in Balcom, Ill. and moved to this area in 1958 from St. Louis, Mo. He was a retired retail sales manager, a member of Faith Lutheran Church in New Port Richey, a member of American Legion Post #335. Mr. Peters was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a Staff Sgt. with the 186th Infantry, 41st Division serving in the South Pacific. He was preceded in death by a son Ronald Louis Peters in 1971. Survivors include his wife, Bertha; sons, Gary of Noble, Ontario, Canada and Gaylon of Osprey, Fla.; daughter Marilyn Simonson of St. Petersburg; sisters, Ann Keller of Lincoln, Neb. and Carlene Schluter of Gifford, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, January 31, at the North/Meadowlawn Funeral Home, 4244 Madison St., New Port Richey.
