Lou Ellen R. Cox, 72, wife of Foman Thomas Cox, of 20 Smythe St., died Tuesday, July 5, 2005, at her home. Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Aileen Ragsdale Black. She retired from Williamston Manufacturing Company and was a member of Beech Springs Tabernacle. She is survived by her immediate family, Jan and Danny Moore of Liberty, Buck and Virginia Ragsdale of Hopewell, Va., Tommy Black of Anderson, and Lisa Black of Pelzer. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at White Plains Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Delbert Timms and the Rev. Ronald Fowler officiating. The family is at the home, and will receive friends from 1 to 2:45 p.m. Friday at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. Memorials may be made to St. Francis Hospice, P.O. Box 9312, Greenville, SC 29604; or to Beech Springs Tabernacle, P.O. Box 426, Pelzer, SC 29669.
