Lotta Lee "Dolly Do" Pate Davis, age 101 of Chipley, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013. Lotta was born April 8, 1912 in Hartford, Ala., to the late Alto Lee and Minnie (Nichols) Pate. She has been a resident of Chipley since 1956 and was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Chipley, a lifetime member of the Women of the Presbyterian Church that was honored in 1988. Lotta worked as a teacher for the Washington County System for many years and was a member of the Garden Club and Women's Club. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl J. Davis Suarez and husband William of Miami; three grandsons, David, Alex, Victor and Danielle Cabarrocas all of Miami; two granddaughters, Cristina Cabarrocas and husband David of Miami and Lydia Trelles of Mexico City, Mexico; two nephews, Dr. Bert Davis and wife Karen of Marianna and Dr. Jeff Davis and wife Donna of Marianna. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 22, 2013 at Glenwood Cemetery with Chaplain Ernie Gray officiating. Brown Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
