Lorraine M. Moreau of Lowell, active at St. Margaret's; 79 LOWELL Lorraine M. (Rivers) Moreau, 79, a resident of Lowell for the past 36 years, died Friday morning, April 24th, at her home surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of 59 years of Lawrence E. Moreau, who was a former City Councillor in North Adams, and the loving mother of three. She was born in North Adams, MA , January 5, 1930, the daughter of the late Leo and the late Clara (Morris) Rivers. While living in North Adams, she was a communicant of Holy Family Church, a member of the church choir and of Le Cercle Francais in the 1960's. She was a communicant of St. Margaret Church in Lowell, a member of the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality and the St. Margaret's Crafters. She was also a volunteer at Saints Medical Center. Lorraine enjoyed bowling with the Senior League at the Brunswick Lanes, baking, knitting, and spending time with her family. Before retiring, she was a receptionist with Albert H. Notini and Sons of Lowell. Besides her husband, Lawrence, Lorraine is survived by a son, Edward Moreau and his wife, Barbara of Northfield, MA; two daughters, Eileen Chabot and her husband, John of Aurora, IL, and Jane Aubrey and her husband, Christopher of Londonderry, NH; five grandchildren, Lynne Chabotand Adam Chabot and his wife, Jennifer and Mathew, Nicole and Jason Aubrey; three great-grandchildren Jack, Ben and Emma Chabot; several nephews, and a niece. She was the sister of the late Edward L. Rivers. MOREAU In Lowell, April 24, 2009 at her home, Lorraine M. (Rivers) Moreau, 79, wife of Lawrence E. Moreau. Friends may call at the O'DONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 276 PAWTUCKET ST. LOWELL from 4 to 7 P.M. Sunday. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ST. MARGARET CHURCH in Lowell on Monday morning a 9:30 a.m. Friends may also call at the Flynn Dagnoli Funeral Home, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA from 9 to 11 A.M. Tuesday.
