LAWSON, Lorne Peacefully at home with his family at his side on Monday, March 24, 2008 at the age of 77 years. Loving husband for fifty-three years of Sandra (McDonell). Beloved father of Brian (Kathryn Douglas), Patricia (David Roy), Mona (Ken Kary), Andrew (Sue McCaig) and Marian (Brendan MacDonald). Much loved Grandpa to Jessica, Kirsten, Megan, Kaitlyn and Lauren Lawson; Alex, Daniel and James Lawson; David and Nigel Roy; Stephen Kary; Kyla and Lawson MacDonald. Dear brother of Leo, Dorothy (Kevin Wheeler) and Elinor (Edward Gallagher). Predeceased by his parents, Hilary and Lea (Houlahan) and by his sister, Patricia. Lorne found great joy and meaning in his work with young people as a teacher, principal and superintendent of education. He lived his belief in the value of community through hours of gladly given time and leadership to many community projects. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations to the Glengarry Memorial Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Lorne, a tree will be planted in Memory Woods.
