WILCOX, LORETTA MAYGainesville - Loretta May Wilcox, age 92, passed away November 28, 2007 in Gainesville, Florida. She was born June 6, 1915 in Geneva, Ohio. She married on December 22, 1934 and remained in Geneva until she moved to Jensen Beach, Florida in 9157. In 1979 she moved to Tallahassee, Florida and from there to Stuart, Florida in 1994 and to Gainesville, Florida in 1998. She also spent considerable time in Franklin, North Carolina. Though she was employed in various fields and was mainly a homemaker she was most of all known as a woman of exceptional godly character who loved her family and cared deeply for others above herself. When her health permitted she attended The Family Church in Gainesville. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents Charles Victor Nelson and Molly (Palm) Nelson and her sister Dorothy Hardy. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Blaine Wilcox of Gainesville, Florida, a daughter and her spouse Janet O'Neill (Jack) of Grant Pass, Oregon, one son and spouse Richard Wilcox (Marge) of Gainesville, Florida, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. There will be no local service. A private interment will be at All Saints Cemetery in Jensen Beach at a later date.
