COLONIE Loretta F. Davis, 83, died Thursday, September 9, 2004 at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. Born in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of the late Merton Vincent and Julia Lundgren, Loretta was a long time resident of the Capital Region. Loretta worked as a clerk in the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles for over 21 years before her retirement. She was an active member of the Roessleville United Presbyterian Church as well as the Lisha Kill Senior Citizens Group and the Colonie Elks Ladies Auxiliary. Devoted wife of the late Walter F. Davis Sr. Loretta is survived by three daughters, Judith A. Westervelt, S.C., Kathleen M. Nealon, Hudson, N.H. and Geraldine F. Garrett, Colonie; and her sister, Florence Friebel of Altamont. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at the Frederick Funeral Home, 633 Central Avenue, Albany. Interment will follow in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Colonie. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Roessleville United Presbyterian Church, 1201 Central Avenue, Albany, NY 12205.
