BARNWELL, S.C. - Loraine Rose Lee, 87, widow of Charles Edward Lee passed away Monday, June 1, 2009 at her home. Mrs. Lee was born in Grahn, Kentucky on April 1, 1922. She was the daughter of the late Francis and Missouri Walker Rose. She was a former resident of Middletown Ohio . In 1993 she moved to Barnwell SC to be with her daughter and family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was a member of the Barnwell United Methodist Church and the DAV. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm Thursday at the Barnwell United Methodist Church with the Rev. Joey McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery at the airport. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Wednesday evening at Mole Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Ashleigh Place Mission Fund of the Barnwell United Methodist Church or the Scholarship fund of the Barnwell United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Pam and Cal Hoffman of Barnwell SC; grandchildren, Mark and Patti Hoffman of Charleston SC, Scott and Laura Hoffman of Denver NC, Joye and Matthew Mizell of Lexington SC; great grandchildren, Justin Hoffman, Joel Hoffman, Jason Hoffman, Jonathan Hoffman, Leya Hoffman, Lauren Mizell and Rylan Priester. She was predeceased by her siblings, Gladys Craig, Evelyn Lowe, Mae Curtis, Jewel Rose, Aileen Boggs, Roy Rose, Emil Rose, Uhlan Rose and Bill Rose. Mole Funeral Home, 803-259- 3166.
