SMITH Lola Mae Trapp Smith, 83, transitioned Wednesday, September 26, 2012. She was born on January 1, 1929 in Jacksonville, FL to Otis and Rosetta Smith. She worshipped at Bethel Baptist Institutional Church in Jacksonville, FL under the leadership of Bishop Rudolph W. Mckissick Sr. and Bishop Rudolph W. Mckissick Jr. She was a dedicated Employee of the following: May Cohen s Department Store, Manager, Stein Mart and half ownership of Windows and Blessings Dry Cleaners. She was also the owner of Lola s Grocery Store on Myrtle Ave. Jacksonville, Fl. She is survived by 6 children, Belinda Lewis, Samuel L. Thomas (Beverly), Valerie Maxwell, James Thomas, Yvette Thomas and Karen Thomas, and 10 grandchildren (1 deceased) and a host of great and great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at 4:00pm-8:00pm Wednesday October 3, 2012 at Carthage Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 12:00pm Thursday at Bethel Baptist Institutional Church, 215 Bethel Baptist Street, and the interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
