Tifton - Lola Mae Smith Ricketson Lee, 79, of Tifton, died Saturday, December 13, 2003, at Tift Regional Medical Center. She was born Feb. 7, 1924 in Nichols, GA to the late Willie Smith and Abbie Tuten Smith Tanner. A longtime resident of Tifton, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a lifetime member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was married to a Pearl Harbor survivor and was active in the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association. She had hosted foreign exchange students for ABAC; was a Big Sister with the Big Brothers & Big Sisters program and was an avid gardener. She had worked in the nursery at First Baptist Church, Tifton, where she was a member and former Sunday school teacher. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers, 2 sisters, and 1 son, Russell Lee.Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2003 at the Chapel of Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors with Dr. W. Wayne Roe and Dr. W. Ches Smith, III officiating. Burial will be in Willacoochee City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003 from 7-9 p.m. at Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors, Tift Area Chapel. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Big Brothers & Big Sisters.Survivors include her husband, James C. Lee; a daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Richard Danks, North Hampton, New Hampshire; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ray Lee and Shary Karlin, Athens, GA and Keith Lee and Lynn Talley-Lee, Tifton; three sisters, Nora Simpson, Pensacola, Fla., and Almie Adams and Abbie Izora Wooten, both of Douglas; two brothers, Rev.
