WAYNESBORO, Ga. -Lois Sharpe Heath, 81, entered into rest Saturday, June 28, 2008 at Trinity Hospital in Augusta. She was born June 30, 1926 in Burke County to the late Julian Camby and Grace Quick Sharpe. She lived most of her life in Waynesboro, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Heath was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church in Girard. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roland Stephen Heath, Sr.; brother, Clifford Sharpe; and two grandsons, Stephen Edenfield and Roland S. Heath III. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of DeLoach Funeral Home, Waynesboro, with Rev. Jerry Sharpe, and Chaplain Frankie May officiating. Interment will follow at Burke Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday, June 30, 2008 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at DeLoach Funeral Home, Waynesboro. Family members include six children, Peggy Gresham (Jones), of Waynesboro; Alice Till (John), of Augusta; Phyllis Rowland, of Augusta; Roland S. Heath, Jr. (Terry), of Americus, Ga.; Ellen Elder (Wayne), of Americus, Ga.; and Earl Heath, of Augusta; 8 grandchildren, Dr. Mark Gresham (Candy), of Waynesboro; Jodie Carver (Randy), of Waynesboro; Kimberly Till, of Augusta; James Camden Rowland, of Augusta; Rolanda Pepherick (Chris), of Orlando, Fl; Kyle Heath (Carrie), of Americus; Dr. Jeffrey Elder (Christine), of Birmingham, Alabama; and Lori Elder, of Balsam, NC; sister, June Carswell (Hugh), of Roebuck, SC; sister in law, Ollie Sharpe, of Waynesboro; six great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
