LOIS LEE COCOA, FL Lois Dempsey Lee, age 80, was lovingly received into the arms of her Heavenly Fa ther on Satur day, February 18, 2006, after a courageous battle with can cer. Lois was born in Jodie, WV on April 24, 1925 to the late Fred and Myrtle Dempsey. She retired from the U.S. Civil Service after 31 years of serv ice, where she worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Air Force. Upon re tirement she resided in Straw berry Plains, TN for eight years before returning to Brevard County in 1988. Lois faithfully attended the First Baptist Church of Merritt Island. She loved her Lord with all her heart. She lived her faith; a life exemplified by acts of love for her family and for others. Lois was very accomplished at needlework of all kinds; her quilts, cross-stitchery and hand made garments were works of art. Lois also loved making her home beautiful, working diligent ly in her flower beds and making many decorations that graced her walls. Her greatest accomplish ments, however, were in shar ing her love and faith with her family and friends. All who knew her loved her, and all will miss her immensely. Truly, the an gels in heaven are rejoicing. Our loss is heavens gain. She is survived by her hus band of 64 years, Nathan B. Lee; daughter, Rebecca Acuff of Cocoa; sons, Danny (Joanne) of Spotsylvania, VA, Steve (Candy) of Merritt Island, Roger (Terri) of Orlando, and Timothy of Rockledge; eight grandchil dren, Michael, Brian and Angie Acuff, Christi Cook, Sandi Homan, Mandi OBrien and Shawn and Danny McGee; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Leona Mullins of Ansted, WV and brother, Lloyd Dempsey of Mt. Lookout, WV. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb ruary 21st at Wylie-Baxley Fu neral Home in Rockledge with a memorial service immediately following. Interment at Restlawn Memory Gardens in Victor, WV. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lois memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1260 U.S Hwy 1, Ste. 201, Rockledge, FL 32955.
