Lois E. Anderson, 81, of Manahawkin, N.J., formerly of Rahway, N.J., passed away Monday in RWJUH at Rahway. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Saturday March 15, 2014, at 9 a.m. in the Pettit-Davis Funeral Home, 371 W. Milton Ave. Rahway, N.J., www.pettitdavisfuneralhome.com, thence to St. Mary's RC. Church, Rahway, where her Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Interment is at Gate of Haven Cemetery, East Hanover, N.J. Visiting will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Born in Orange, N.J., Lois lived in Rahway for many years before moving to Manahawkin in 2001. She was employed by Bank of America, Rahway, for many years before retiring in 2001. Later, Lois was employed by Huffman Koos, Rahway, and Commerce Bank in Ocean County. Lois was a communicant of St. Mary's R.C. Church, Rahway, where she was a member of the Young at Heart Club. She was a volunteer at St. Mary of the Pines, Barnegat, N.J., where she served on the bingo committee and assisted with the Ken's Kitchen homeless program. Lois was predeceased by her parents, Russell and Eleanor Hagberg; her beloved husband, William G.; her twin sister, Marilyn Snow, and her granddaughter, Lindsay. Surviving are her children, Eleanor L. Murto; Michael R. and Barbara M. Anderson; John G. and Debra A. Anderson; Janice L. and Derrick A. Luz; David W. Anderson; Allison Jane and Rafael Ortiz. She was also loved by 18 grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made at the funeral home to Ken's Kitchen.
