LOIS E. ANDERSON VALPARAISO, IN Lois E. Anderson, age 91, of Valparaiso and formerly of North Liberty, passed away April 1, 2009 at the Whispering Pines Health Care Center, Valparaiso. She was born on April 29, 1917 in North Liberty, IN to George and Mabel (Schrader) Anderson. Lois graduated form North Liberty High School, received her teaching degree from Indiana University and earned her Masters degree from Ball State University. Lois taught for 45 years as an elementary school teacher retiring in 1982. She had worked for North Liberty Schools, Plymouth Schools and for the Valparaiso Schools at Parkview Elementary. Lois is survived by three brothers and one sister: Virgil (Avis) Anderson of West Lafayette, Paul L. (Marilee) Anderson of Walkerton, Bernice Krieve of Los Angeles, CA and Frederic (Peggy) Anderson of Florence, SC; two sisters-in-law: Mary Anderson of Kentucky and Dolores Anderson of Muncie; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Herbert and Richard Anderson; and sister, Carolyn Anderson. Following cremation at Angelcrest Crematory, Valparaiso, a memorial service will be held Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Road, Valparaiso with Rev. Doug Anderson and Rev. Janet Anderson officiating. A memorial visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial of ashes will be Monday, April 20, 2009 at 8:00 AM at North Liberty Cemetery in North Liberty.
