Lois Davis, 65, died Feb. 6, 2010, at home. She was born in Vienna, Ga., and lived in St. Lucie County since 1961. Before retirement, she was a clerk in a nursing home. She was a member of the Assembly of God Faith Temple. Survivors include her sons, Alonzo Coleman, Darren Davis, Robert Stevens, Jerome Davis and Alfred Davis Jr.; daughters, Wylene Bryant of Tallahassee, Diane Gillem, Carolyn Gillem, Patricia Gillem, Betty Davis-Walker, Gracie Davis and Jewel Ellis, all of Fort Pierce; mother, Vinel McBride of Fort Pierce; sister, Katherine Lloyd of Fort Pierce; brothers, Thomas Gillem Jr. of Jacksonville, Chester Gillem of Fort Pierce; 40 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Davis Sr.; and father, Thomas Gillem Sr. services: Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Feb. 12 at Stone Brothers Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Feb. 13 at Greater New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Fort Pierce. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Park, Fort Pierce.
