Watkinsville - Lisa Ann Anderson, 43, died September 12, 2007.A native of Dearborn, Michigan, she was the daughter of Alfred and Lois Smith. Lisa was a highly regarded educator in the Oconee County School System for over ten years. She was known for her positive approach that expected the most from her students. She taught at Oconee Middle School, Malcom Bridge Middle School and Oconee County Primary School, where she served as Assistant Principal. During that time, she served on various committees including the Superintendent's Advisory Council, as well as, a mentor to First Year Teachers. She was voted Teacher of the Year while at Malcom Bridge Middle School. Memorial services will be Saturday, September 15, 2007, at 10:30 AM at Grace Fellowship, 1120 Malcom Bridge Road, Bogart, GA. A reception will follow at the church.Survivors in addition to her parents include her husband, Chris Anderson; children, Abby and Matthew Anderson; brothers, Craig Smith and Dave Smith; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arthur and Sarah Anderson; brother-in-law, Mark Henry Anderson; sister-in-law, Melinda Flynn; several nieces and nephews.Memorials may be made to: Arlyne Nash Memorial Scholarship Fund, PO Box 304, Watkinsville, GA 30677.Lord and Stephens, WEST, is in charge of arrangements.
