Lionel Jacques, 87, died Dec. 18, 2012, at Emerald Health Care, Port St. Lucie. He was born in Les Cayes, Haiti, and lived in Port St. Lucie for 17 years, coming from, Brooklyn, N.Y. Before retiring, he was the owner/operator of Jactk Auto Repair, Brooklyn. He served in the Haitian Air Force as a mechanic. He was a member of St. Lucie Catholic Church, Port St. Lucie, and was a Mason. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Reneé Jacques of Port St. Lucie; daughters, Carole DeJean of Vero Beach, Elsie Denerville of Brooklyn and Eveline Lezeau of Port St. Lucie; sons, Frantz Jacques of East Hartford, Conn. and Lionel Jacques of Elkridge, Md.; sisters, Josephine Chenet and Maude Pierre-Louis, both of Brooklyn, and Bertha Jacgues of Boston; brothers, Legagneur Jacques and Anthony Jacques, both of Haiti and Gabriel Jacques of Brooklyn; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Services: Visitation will be from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Dec. 21 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes Palm City Chapel with a Vigil Prayer Service at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Dec. 22 at St. Lucie Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie.
