On Thursday, March 24, 2005, Linda Craig Wilson, of Washington, D.C., died.She was the beloved daughter of Doris Wilson and the late Sidney Wilson, father, Betty Wilson, sister, and Sid Wilson, nephew.Surviving are Douglas M. Wilson, brother, and Douglas M. Wilson Jr., nephew, all of Greenville, S.C. She lived in Washington, D.C., and was employed by the Postmaster General's office as a speechwriter, then in Delivery and Government Relations, and later in Document Control. In the late eighties, she began working with the International Postal Affairs. During the Universal Postal Union Congress, hosted by the U.S., she arranged a massive Thanksgiving feast for 2,000 guests from around the world and masterminded the "Be Our Guest" program during the Washington Congress hosting 1,000 foreign postal guests and their families. She made many more significant contributions to the U.S. Postal Service and International Postal Affairs. There was a memorial service at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Blvd., W., Silver Spring, Md., Saturday, April 2, 2005, at 1 p.m., and there will be another memorial service in the chapel of First Baptist Church in Greenville, S.C. on Saturday, May 16, 2005, at 11 a.m. Interment private.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Food and Friends WDC, 219 Riggs Road, NE, Washington, D.C. 20011.
