Linda Carolyn Gillespie Walker, age 68, of 374 Compton Road died Sunday, September 30, 2007, at her home. She was born in Liberty and was the daughter of the late Raymond and Nell McDonald Gillespie. Mrs. Walker was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Julian B. Walker of the home; a son, David and wife, Shirley Walker, of Clinton; three daughters, Angela and husband, Billy Snow, of Laurens, Dorothy Graham of Mauldin and Janice and husband, Tedford Ward, of Clinton; a brother, Edward Gillespie of Tampa, Fla.; a sister, Sarah LaFontaine of St. Louis, Mo; ten grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Holcombe; and a grandchild, Grayson Ward. Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Bellview Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Laurens County, P.O.
