THOMPSON, Linda Ellen Mary AgnesOn Friday, January 13, 2012, Linda passed away peacefully at the age of 86 years.She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by her seven children; Barry (Anne), Wayne (Darcie), Danny (Brenda), Velda (Ron), Kent (Sandy), Murray (Janet) and Kevin, 13 grandchildren, 10 great- grandchildren, Vaughn (Katia), Scott (Debbie), Cassandra, Jessica, Corey, Tate, Leanne, Darian, Haydan, Steve (Corinne), James (Linnea), Janelle, Austin, Jason (Bobbie-Gene), LaRae (Ric), Madison, Rayden, Brooklyn, Kody, Keyton, Kaylen, Jarrett and Jordan, niece Teri Austen and her family in Wokingham, England.Linda was predeceased by her husband Vaughn in 2002, daughter ValRae, infant son, grandson Chad Clermont and her parents and siblings in England.In honour of Linda's wishes, no formal Funeral Service will be held. A Celebration of her Life will take place at the Drayton Valley Legion on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. where everyone is welcome to come and cherish her love for her family and friends, her kindness and desire for goodwill and her unique sense of humour that we will all remember her by.The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Drayton Valley Hospital and the U of A Hospital as well as the entire staff at Shangri La Lodge for their amazing care and compassion during Mom's stay there.If friends so desire memorial donations may be made in Linda's memory to the Drayton Valley Hospital, 4550 Madsen Ave., Drayton Valley, AB T7A 1N8 or to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 269, Box 5240, Drayton Valley, AB T7A 1R4.Build a lifetime together, it aches to part.Fight, work, raise a family,build a town from the heartA legacy left.
