Linda Smith-Moss, 57. a resident of Lake City, Florida, passed away February 1, 2009. Linda was the daughter of the late Anthony and Rosa Lee Smith. She was a 1969 graduate of Richardson High School. Linda attended Edwards Waters College, Jacksonville, Florida and later transferred to Florida Memorial College, Miami, Florida obtaining a B.S. Degree in Business Administration. After completion of college, Linda began her working career with the United States Coast Guard in Miami, FL., later relocating to Lake City, and was employed with the Columbia County School System. She was a faithful member of Mt. Pisgah A.M.E. Church where she served in many capacities. Left to cherish her memory, a son, Mark (Tameka) Coachman; a special sister, Mary Alice Hargett of Tallahassee, FL; step-brothers and sisters, Roosevelt Hill, Rosemary Harris, Berry Hill all of Ft. White, FL., George Lee (Vern ell) Hill of Naples, FL., Alexander (Mary) Hill of Miami Gardens, FL.; two aunts, Jesse James and Willie Claridy, both of Miami, FL.; five grandchildren, Mercedes, Alexus, Chanel, Chanese and Xiomara Coachman; four sisters-in-law, Veronica English of Lake City, Juanita (Willie) Smith of Jacksonville, FL., Gloria (Jerome) Carter of Lake City, Carolyn Baker of Jacksonville, FL; ex-daughter-in-law, Marlene Lorenzo; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Moss will be Saturday February 7, 2009, 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Pisgah A.M.E. Church. 345 N.E. Washington Street. Visitation with the family will be on Friday, February 6, 2009 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Mt. Pisgah A.M.E. Church.
