Linda S. Smith WINDHAM -- Linda S. Smith, was called home to rest in the arms of her loving Father on Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, at a Windham Residential facility. Linda had such a sweet and kind spirited soul and will be missed by all those whose lives she touched. She was surrounded by her beloved sister, Diana Pullen of Steep Falls and her cousin Joyce Durkin of Buxton. Linda was born in Portland on June 28, 1949, the daughter of Robert Smith and Margaret Gilman Potter. Linda previously lived at the Viollette Home in Westbrook where she was happy and well loved. She attended Prides Training School where she had learned so much. She was at the FOR Group, Creative Work Shops, Community Partners and the Good Will. She had also worked for UNUM Portland. She is predeceased by her parents; a sister, Sylvia Douglass and a brother, Robert Smith. She is survived by her sister, Diana Pullen of Steep Falls; a cousin, Joyce Durkin of Buxton; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Wednesday at Dows Corner Cemetery, Cape Road, Standish at 11 a.m. Friends may send on-line condolences to: www.dolbyfuneralchapels.com.
