->EAST MACHIAS - Linda S. Cox, 59, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones Dec. 14, 2013, after enduring a brief illness. Linda was born Oct. 1, 1954, in Machias, to Robert R. Cale Sr. and Janice (Colbeth)Cale.She graduated from Machias Memorial High School in 1972. She was a wonderful partner, mother, Nana and friend.She is survived by her love and best friend, Wayne "Bud" Williamson of East Machias; a son, Paul Cox Jr. and his fiancée, Joanna Oakes, of Roque Bluffs; daughter, Andrea Atcherson and her fiancé, Joseph Moore II, of Machiasport; and daughter, Jennifer King and husband, Stephen, of Whiting. Very special grandchildren, Derek Frisco, Scotty Atcherson, Hannah Atcherson, Chelsea Oakes, Katrina Oakes, Zachary Cox and Gavin Cox; a brother, Dennis Cale of Roque Bluffs; a sister, Sharon Cale of Machias; and a special sister-in-law, Elaine Cale of Whiting.Each year Linda looked forward to the Fryeburg Fair, which had become an annual adventure with Bud, which always included a trip to Hollywood Slots. She enjoyed time spent with her dear friends, Alice Polley, Sherry Frazier and Nancy Morse. She was an amazing cook and always delivered her homemade goodies during the holidays to friends and family, this brought her much joy. She put her heart and soul into making her home with Bud. They enjoyed many wonderful years together. Linda was predeceased by her parents, Robert R. Cale Sr. and Janice (Colbeth); and brother, Robert R. Cale Jr.A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, at Bragdon Kelley Funeral Home, 220 Court St., Machias.
