SPRING HILL, FL - Mrs. Linda P. Dueringer Higgins, age 58, wife of Eugene Higgins entered into rest on September 20, 2005 at her residence in Spring Hill. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 23, 2005 at 1:00 at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church with Reverend Michael E. Roverse officiating. Interment will be in Westover Memorial Park. Survivors include her mother, Betty Merkt of Buffalo, NY; her father, Donald L. Gardiner of Clearwater, Fla.; two sons, Paul R. Dueringer of Abbeville, Ala. and Mike and his wife, Janet Dueringer of Martinez; one daughter, Catherine McCarthy and her husband, Kevin of Martinez; one brother, Mark Merkt of Dallas, Texas; three sisters, Barbara Rado of Spring Hill, Pamela Nowasell of Bliss, NY and Rebecca O'Conner of Binghamton, NY; five grandchildren, Haley Mills, Michael Dueringer, Nicholas Mills, Bobby McCarthy and Nicole McCarthy. Mrs. Higgins had attended St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, she was a memberof the Red Hat Society. She will be missed by her family and friends. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Nowasell, Ron Nowasell, Jake Merkt, Tim Hery, Will White and Kevin McCarthy. The family will be receiving friends today, Thursday, September 22, 2005, at the funeral home on Belair Rd. from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m. Platt's Funeral Home, 337 N.
