Linda Outen Wilson, 72, of Mint Hill, N.C., passed away peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, surrounded by her family.Mrs. Wilson was born Dec. 20, 1940, in Lancaster and was a daughter of the late John Talmadge Outen and Mattie Miller Outen. She had lived in the Charlotte area for most of her life and was a member of Idlewild Baptist Church. Mrs. Wilson retired from BellSouth after over 20 years of service. Survivors include her husband, James Wilson of Mint Hill; children, Andrea Carlton and Edwin Carlton, both of Mint Hill and Lance Wilson of Charlotte; grandchildren, Remmi and Lexi Carlton and Emily and Sophia Wilson; two brothers, Marion Outen and his wife, Judy, of Lancaster and James Outen and his wife, Nickye, of Piedmont, SC; sisters, Annette Wright and her husband, Ted, of Lancaster, and Connie Agee and her husband, John, of Richburg; and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life for Mrs. Linda Outen Wilson is at 11 a.m. today, Feb. 27, Idlewild Baptist Church sanctuary, 12701 Idlewild Road, Matthews, N.C. 28105, officiated by the Rev. Keith Whitener. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Presbyterian Hospice, 324 N. McDowell St., Charlotte, NC 28204, in memory of Mrs. Wilson.
