Linda M. Mitchell, 69, of Panama City, Fla., passed away Monday, Nov. 8, 2010, at Bay Medical Center after a short bout with cancer. She was born in Lyman, S.C., and has lived in Bay County for the past 33 years. She is survived by her loving husband, James L. Mitchell; and her only son, James Todd Mitchell, who are both residents of Bay County. Other surviving family members include her brother, Maurice A. Martin of California, and John Richard Martin of Georgia. Memorial services to be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, at First United Methodist Church of Panama City. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First United Methodist Church in memory of Linda M. Mitchell.
