Manning Garrett officiating. Burial will follow in East Laurel Cemetery, with Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Johnson died Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.She was born in Madison County, TN to the late Raymond J. Holder and Willie Hart Holder. Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and a member of East Laurel Baptist Church. She was married to the late Robert L. Johnson on January 6, 1951.Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Roy Johnson and brothers, Charles E. Holder and Raymond Joseph Holder. Surviving are three sons, Robert L. Johnson and wife Brenda, Charles E. Johnson and wife Judy, and Joe D. Johnson and wife Jeanne, all of Jackson; three daughters, Martha Stanford and husband James of Darden, Linda D. Stansell and husband Harold of Beech Bluff, and Janette Johnson of Jackson; two brothers, James William Holder and wife Joan of Jackson, and Phil Holder and wife Meredith of Henderson; a sister, Marie Nanney of Memphis; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.Pallbearers for the service will be David Johnson, Les Johnson, Robert Payne, Jay Johnson, Mathew Johnson and Roy Matherly.The family requests any memorials be directed to East Laurel Baptist Church.Friends may visit with the family from 5 till 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
