Linda M. SmithSelfess, hardworking, and dedicated DRACUT -- Linda M. (Rennell) Smith, a resident of Dracut, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, January 24, 2015, at the Spaudling Hospital, Cambridge.She was born in Boston, MA, a daughter of the late Joseph and Rita (Volpicelli) Rennell.Linda had worked for over 30 years as a caregiver to the elderly. Most recently, with the residents of Sunny Acres Nursing Home and Chelmsford Crossings Senior Living Center, both in Chelmsford, where she had been employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant, she had a wonderful way with the residents.She was a member of St. Francis Parish in Dracut.Linda enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and deeply cherished every moment with her grandchildren.She had a big heart, she was dependable and a great listener. She found comfort in music and the beach, she also had a love for ice cream, bowling, and camping.Linda will be most remembered for always smiling in the face of adversity.Her survivors include: a daughter, Amanda M. Honan and her husband, Matthew of Dracut; three sisters, Claudia Wright and her husband, Scott of Salem, NH, Marsha Camillieri and her husband, Ed of Dracut, MA, and Paula Rowe and her husband, Pat of Chelmsford, MA; two grandchildren, Abigail L. Honan and Colton J. Honan, both of Dracut; two nieces, Jessica Wright of Salem, NH, and Hayley Rowe of Chelmsford, MA; two nephews, Scott Wright of Salem, NH, and Aaron Rowe of Chelmsford, MA. Also her extended family, Jack and Jackie Honan of Dracut, MA.She is also survived by many dear friends and co-workers.Linda was also the mother of the late Lance O. Smith, and sister of the late Maria Rennell and Kenneth Rennell.SMITH -- At Linda's request, visiting hours have been omitted. Cremation, Linwood Crematory. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend her Memorial Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Wednesday morning, Feb. 4, 2015 at 10 o'clock at St. Francis Church, 115 Wheeler Rd., Dracut. In lieu of flowers, donations in Memory of Linda may be made to: The Anatomical Gift Program at Tufts University School of Medicine, 136 Harrison Ave., Boston, MA 02111.
