LINDA LEE HALL VALPARAISO, IN Linda Lee Hall, age 63, a longtime resident of Valparaiso passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2009. She was born on October 18, 1946, the daughter of Samuel Douthitt, Sr. and Mary Jean Pease. Linda was a 1964 graduate of Lew Wallace High School. Linda was married to Raymond G. Hall on February 24, 1968 in Gary and they celebrated 42 wonderful years of marriage. She worked as a administrative assistant for seven years with the Gary School System and then as a health assistant with the Portage Township Schools retiring after 19 years of service in 2001. Linda was very active as a volunteer with Paul Saylor Elementary School. Her great joy was being with her grandchildren and studying the family genealogy. Linda is survived by her loving family: husband, Raymond G. Hall of Valparaiso; daughter, Janet (Lowell) Bengero of Carmel; sons: Michael (Paige) Hall of Champaign, IL and John (Traci) Hall of Kouts; grandchildren: Kennedy, Eric, Lourdes, Jake, Desiree and Jocelyn all who were grandma's angels; her sister and best friend, Sharon (Bob) Mitckess; sister-in-law, Nancy (Roy) Grinnell; nieces: Cathy Mitckess, Lisa Mitckess and Jenni (Craig) Kaiser, Heather (Mike) Doane, and Kimberly Nelson; and other loving family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. A visitation for Linda Hall will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Rees Funeral Home – Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage. Cremation will follow and burial will be at McCool Cemetery in Portage. Memorials in Linda's memory may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
