Linda L. Williams, 86, of Panama City, passed away Monday, June 7, 2011, at a local hospital. She was born in Jasper, Ala., and had lived in Panama City since 1989. Mrs. Williams was a dedicated wife and mother to all, and will be missed by everyone who knew her. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.She was predeceased by her husband, Buford Williams; her parents, Roy and Norma Bennett; brothers, Jimmy, Dempsey, Julius and Charles Bennett, all of Jasper, Ala.; and two sisters, Betty Knight of Nashville, Tenn., and Doris Williams of Gardendale, Ala.Survivors include her children, Gerald Williams of Pelham, Ala.; and Nancy Currie (John) of Panama City; her grandchildren, Emilea Jones (Donnie) of Panama City; Michelle Largen of Birmingham, Ala.; Priscilla Williams of San Diego, Calif.; Brooks Williams of Birmingham, Ala.; and Lindsey Currie of Panama City; and her five great-grandchildren, Ashton, Olivia, Brianna, Isabella and Katie; a brother, Nathan Bennett (Yolanda) of Jasper, Ala.; and a host of nieces and nephews.A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Hankins officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 13, 2011, at the funeral home and will be staying at Mrs. Currie's home, 351 Bunkers Cove Road. Asked to serve as pallbearers are John Currie, Brooks Williams, Walter Gunn and Jerry Williams.
