ANGELICA - Linda L. Phillips, 60, of 12 Peavy Road, passed away Monday (Feb. 4, 2013) at Jones Memorial Hospital.Born in Cuba, June 12, 1952, a daughter of Grover "Stew" and Joann May Flanders Burr, she was a lifelong area resident. Linda graduated from the former Angelica Central School and later received her bachelor's degree in psychology and human development from Empire State College. Her greatest achievement was being a wife, mother and grandmother. She was predeceased by her mother, Joanne Flanders Burr.She is survived by her husband, John C. Phillips Jr., whom she married Aug. 22, 1970; her daughter, Lisa Ann (Gerald) Smith of Dansville; her father, Stew Burr of Caneadea; her granddaughters, Sienna May Phillips and Delilah Chase; two sisters, Mary Brewster of Canaseraga and Rebecca (Marty) Patridge of Indiana; four brothers, William (Amy) Burr of Texas, Joseph (Martha) Burr of Cuba, Ronald (Pattie) Burr of Belfast and David Burr of Wellsville; and several nieces and nephews.The family will observe a private service, and her burial will be at Burrville Cemetery in Caneadea.To send a remembrance visit www.brownandpowersfuneralhomes.com.
