AUGUSTA, Ga. - Linda J. Johnson, 69, entered into rest Friday, January 31, 2014, at University Hospital. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 2, 2014, at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Pastor Robert Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Ms. Johnson, daughter of the late Alvie and Annie Osborne Johnson, was born in Wilkes County, Georgia, and was retired from the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center. She is survived by her son, Robert Johnson, of Warrenton, GA; her daughter, Gail Beard, and her husband, Glenn, of North Augusta, SC; her grandson, Aaron Johnson, of Warrenton; her brothers, David Johnson, of Augusta, Leonard Johnson, and his wife, Jean, of Conyers, GA, Jones Floyd Johnson, and his wife, Elizabeth, of Snellville, GA, and Forris Johnson, and his wife, Frankie, of Martinez, GA; and her sisters, Vivian Rabun, of Augusta, and Gloyce Hieber, of Eatonton, GA. She was preceded in death by her son, Chip Johnson, and her sister, Elmer Kelley. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 1, 2014, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
