The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.Ms. Peterson died Tuesday, October 30, 2012, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born August 15, 1948, in Morgan County to Jodie Ampton Meares and Estelle Chambliss Meares.She is survived by two sons, Vince Peterson and Chris Peterson, both of Decatur; one daughter, Amy Peterson of Decatur; two brothers, Wayne Meares of Trinity and Jimmy Meares of Somerville; six sisters, Lellyan Davis of Hartselle, Martha Miller of Louisiana, Edith Terry of Lacey's Spring, Connie Bergance of Lilburn, Ga., Brenda Blankenship of Decatur and Vickie Whisenant of Union Grove; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.Pallbearers will be family and friends.Guestbook available at www.sheltonfuneralhome.net.
