Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Antioch Baptist Church for Linda Gail Lipscomb Smith, 49, Gadsden, who died April 1, 2011. The Rev. Larry Weathers will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Hill Cemetery. Adams-Buggs Funeral Service directing.Linda Gail Lipscomb Smith was born to Aaron Lipscomb Jr. and Nellie Ruth Woods on Aug. 3, 1961, in Gadsden. She left this life on April 1, 2011.She confessed her life to Christ at an early age and was a devoted and active member of Antioch Baptist Church for about 17 years, where she served on the Usher Board and was head of the Junior Usher Board. She was a graduate of Litchfield High School, in the class of 1980.She leaves to cherish her loving memories: devoted husband of 26 years, Jeffery Smith Sr.; daughters, Takeyia Lipscomb, LaTisa Blount and Brandy Smith; son, Jeffery Smith Jr., all of Gadsden; seven grandchildren, Miles Adkison, Milan Adkison, Zakariah Smith, DaVeunt'e Blount, Za'Ria Blount, Za'Miya Blount and TraVeunt'e Blount, Gadsden; mother, Nellie Ruth Worthy, Gadsden; father, Aaron Lipscomb Jr. (Sue), Homestead, Fla.; sisters, Tina Woods, Atlanta, Gloria Young and Sarah Lipscomb, both of Homestead, Fla., Karla Miller, Steven Miller, both of Gadsden; brothers, Charles Lipscomb, Atlanta, Kenny Trimble, Gadsden, Aaron Lipscomb III, Emanuel Lipscomb, and Lamont Lipscomb, all of Homestead, Fla.; sisters-in-law, Janice (Stanley) Cox, Debra Smith, Rita (Darryl) Woody, all of Gadsden; brothers-in-law, Melvin Smith and David (Gloria) Smith, both of Detroit, Donald (Clara) Smith and Gerald Smith, both of Gadsden; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; special uncle and aunts, Billy Ray (Barbara) and Annie Woods, all of Gadsden; special friends, Vickie Shack and Joyce Irby, both of Gadsden; devoted cousin, Sophia Woods, Fairburn, Ga.Condolences at www.adams-buggs.com.
