Linda Feild Wilson, 54, Florence, passed from her earthly life on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001, at her residence.Linda was born in Houston, Texas, on May 27, 1947. She lived most of her life in Lauderdale County and was a graduate of Coffee High School in 1965. Linda was a faithful and active member of Darby Drive Church of Christ and enjoyed her time in the care groups. She worked as a tour coordinator with Goodtime Travels in Florence for almost five years. Linda was a loving wife and mother.Linda was preceded in death by her father, Walter L. Feild.The service will be Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, at 10 a.m. at Elkins Funeral Home Chapel, with Ken DeLano officiating. Burial will follow in the Florence City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday at Elkins Funeral Home from 6-9 p.m. Elkins Funeral Home is assisting the family.Linda is survived by her loving husband and companion of 36 years, Myron V. Wilson, daughter, Courtney L. Wilson, and her son, Geoffrey V. Wilson, all of Florence; mother, Betty L. Green, Decatur; mother-in-law, Edith J. Wilson, Florence; sister, Barbara S. Woodard, Decatur; two nieces; two nephews; aunts, uncles and cousins.Pallbearers will be Hobert May, Earl Watkins, Ken Nix, Ken Smith, Robert Potts and Bud Thrasher.Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Shoals, P. O. Box 307, Florence, AL 35630 or to the American Cancer Society, Brain Cancer Research, 130 S. Poplar St., Florence, AL 35630.The family would like to thank all their many friends for their love and support.
