RICE Linda Elizabeth (Blum) Rice, age 67, of Southbury, died on Monday, November 15, 2004, at Danbury Hospital. She was the widow of Ned Rice. Mrs. Rice was born on August 19, 1937, in Meriden, daughter of the late Gustav and Bessie (Alusitz) Blum. She retired in 2002 as an office manager for a dentist in Milford, and later moved to Southbury to live with her daughter. She was an avid gardener. She leaves one son, Glenn Rice of Orlando, Fla,; two daughters, Donna Deneke of Evergreen, Colo., and Jeniffer E. Rice-Klein of Southbury; one brother, Robert Blum of Warrensburg, Mo.; one sister, Kristine Tino of Sherman, Conn.; and five grandchildren: Justin, Lindsay and Laura Deneke of Evergreen, and Mackenzie and Zoe Klein of Southbury. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 19, 2004, at 11 a.m. at Carpino Funeral Home, 750 Main Street South, Southbury. There are no calling hours.
