WAKEGIJIG, Linda Elizabeth (Burke) - In loving memory of Linda Elizabeth (Burke) Wakegijig 67th year, who passed away Saturday January 3rd, 2009 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital-Memorial Site. Born in Killarney, she married Hank in Elliott Lake in 1961. Linda loved to celebrate life by recognizing special occasions, in bringing family and friends together. She had a wonderful charm with children of all ages and a natural affinity for dogs and all of God's creatures. Linda was a strong, self confident woman, a pillar of strength and courage. An inspiration to all of us. Beloved wife of Raymond “Hank“ Wakegijig predeceased 1995. Loving mother of Marion Mackie (Doug) of Acton, Pauline Watkinson (Paul) of Toronto and Irma de la Morandiere (Steven) of Sudbury. Cherished grandmother of Michelle, Scott, Kyle, Erik, Rebecca, Sara and Lia. Dear daughter of Herbie predeceased and Margaret Burke of Killarney. Dear sister of Valerie Warnock (Bill) of Brockville, Lloyd (Denise) of Wahnapitae First Nation, Patricia Churchill of Toronto, Eldon (Debbie) of Parry Sound, Peggy (Brian Ateyo) of Nova Scotia. Predeceased by Carl and Sherry. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and all the family pets. Resting at her home 14 Ontario St., Killarney. Funeral Mass in St. Bonaventure Church, Killarney, Wednesday, January 7th, 2009 at 10 am. Interment in the Killarney Cemetery. Donations to N.C.R.F. would be appreciated.
