->Old Saybrook - Linda Edith Harrington, 70, beloved wife of the late Lyman Harrington, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 29, 2010, at her home in Old Saybrook.She was born in Montclair, N.J., the daughter of Kermitt and Dorothy (Jacob) Schnetter. Linda raised her children in Clinton and had been a resident of Old Saybrook since 1981. She was an administrative assistant for 18 years for the Town of Deep River working in the building and zoning department. Linda had previously been employed at the former R.R. Donnelley Co. in Old Saybrook.She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed knitting and was an avid reader. During her retirement she worked with the Old Saybrook Estuary Council of Senior Citizens.She is survived by her daughters, Julie (Harris) Dockter of Old Saybrook and Sarah Rowe of Richmond, N.H.; her son, Steven Rowe of Orange; grandchildren, Jennifer Distasio, Samantha and Taylor Rowe, John and Laura Harris, and Rachel Brown; great-grandchildren, Alexia and John Distasio. She also leaves her sisters, Amy Levine and Jane Kerr.Besides her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Nan Tancke.A memorial service will be held in the spring at the Donegal Presbyterian Church in Mount Joy, Pa.Memorial gifts may be made to the Donegal Presbyterian Church Memorial Garden, 1891 Donegal Springs Road, Mount Joy PA 17552.Arrangements are by the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home in Centerbrook.
