Memorial service for Linda D. Smith, 47, Sanrobar Drive, Holly Hill, who died unexpectedly March 24, 2007, at her residence, will be 7 p.m. Friday, March 30, at Shannon Maloney Funeral Home, 4084 Halifax Drive, Port Orange, with Barbara Henderson officiating. There are no calling hours. Mrs. Smith was born in Milford, Conn., and moved to this area 6 years ago from Antrim, N.H. She was born June 8, 1959, to the late David Withington and Marge Withington. Linda attended Milford, Conn. High School and worked for many years at Crotched Mountain Center in Greenfield, N.H. and Antrim Girls Shelter. She moved to Florida and worked for Act Corp. in Daytona Beach. Linda enjoyed camping, sewing, craft projects and spending time at the beach. Survivors include her former husband, Frank G. Smith, Port Orange; mother, Marge Withington, Milford, Conn.; daughter, Dawn Withington, Newport, N.H.; sons, SPC Michael Grant, Hillsboro, N.H., Timothy Smith and David Smith, both of Port Orange; brother, Donald Withington, Troy, N.Y.; and five grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to Sugar Mill Botanical Gardens, 950 Old Sugar Mill Road, Port Orange, FL 32119.
