BELMONT - Linda D. Niles Thompson, 53, of 5433 County Road 48, passed away unexpectedly Thursday (Sept. 18, 2014) shortly after arrival at Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville. She was born Dec. 5, 1960, in Cuba, the daughter of the late Charles and Betty Stives Niles. On April 30, 2011, in Scio, she married Brian Thompson, who survives.Linda was a graduate of Cuba High School, where she was a proud member of the "Cuballeros." She was employed as a cook at several restaurants in Allegany County. She was a T-ball coach for the Cuba Farm League. She also sang at many wedding over the years and played the drums with various local bands.Surviving in addition to husband are a stepson, Kenny Thompson of Belmont; a sister, Lois (Richard) Edwards of Allentown; her father and mother-in-law, Barry and Judy Thompson of Black Creek; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Dolores Edwards and Beverly Perkins; and several nephews.Friends are invited to a graveside service at 2 p.m. Friday (Sept. 26, 2014) at the Forest Hills Cemetery, Belmont, with Pastor James Edwards presiding.
