NASHUA -- Linda C. Thompson, 59, formerly of Merrimack, died April 16, 2009, at Massachusetts General Hospital, after a lengthy illness. She was born June 16, 1949, in Port Jefferson, N.Y., to Robert and Lucille (Seifert) Gagel. She was a graduate of Merrimack High School and graduated from Franklin Pierce College in 1998, with a bachelor's degree in marketing. She has been a resident of Nashua for many years. She was a self-employed real estate broker in the Nashua area and was a committed volunteer in the community. She was also an Avon representative for many years and a member of the Avon President's Club. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, VFW and American Legion Women's auxiliaries, Eagles and Elks clubs, the Nashua Chamber of Commerce, and former president of the Women's Council of Realtors. She was a loving and devoted grandmother who cherished her time with her grandchildren. IN HER LIFE: Members of the family include a son, Michael Thompson of Merrimack; a daughter, Tanya Thompson of Amherst;, four grandchildren, Skylar and Haley Hathorn, and Hannah and Parker Thompson; a sister and brother-in-law, Denise and Bobby Silva of Merrimack;,her soul mate, Roscoe Diamond of Nashua; two nieces, Kimberly Silva and Michelle Porter; and two great-nieces and two great-nephews. SERVICES: A memorial reception will be held Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at George R. Rivet Funeral Home. Interment of her cremated remains will be a Last Rest Cemetery of Merrimack at a later date.
