THOMPSON Linda C. Olszewski Thompson, age 53, of Bridgeport, died peacefully in her residence on Monday, August 25, 2003, surrounded by her family, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Linda was born in Bridgeport and was a lifelong resident. She was a former teacher s aid for the Bridgeport public schools and a waitress for the Athena Diner in Westport. Survivors include three sons, Vanderbilt Thompson and his wife, Ramonita Segarra of Bridgeport, Thomas C. and Anthony Thompson, both of Bridgeport; her mother, Agnes Siwi Sederkowics of Fairfield and her father, Henry Olszewski of Long Island, N.Y.; three brothers, Henry Olszewski of Fairfield, Walter Olszewski of Maine, and Stanley Sederkowics of Bridgeport; two sisters, Martha Potts of Fairfield and Veronica Bryant of Bridgeport; two grandchildren, Justin and Jeremy Thompson; and two step-grandchildren, Melissa and Melinda Segarra; and several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Larson Funeral Home, 2496 North Avenue, Bridgeport. Burial will be in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made t the family through the funeral director. The family wishes to thank Munsey and Eileen for the special care they provided for Linda.
