Lillie Mae Posey Holmes, 84, of 105 Deer Creek Road, wife of Ralph F. Holmes Sr., died Wednesday, May 7, 2003, at NHC HealthCare of Anderson. Born in Pickens, she was a daughter of the late Ben and Mae Lockaby Posey. She attended Iva Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a homemaker. Survivors: A son, Joshua Mathew Hall, of Abbeville; a daughter, Marie Hall Jones, of Williamston; a brother, Alvin Posey, of Travelers Rest; and two grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husbands, Joe Hopkins, Cecil Murray "Matt" Hall and John Henry Tinsley; four brothers, Ansel, James, Mason and Bill F. Posey; and an infant brother and sister. Service: 1 p.m. Saturday at The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Paul Turner officiating. The committal service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The family will be at their respective homes. The McDougald Funeral Home in Anderson is in charge of arrangements.
