NASSAU Lillian Rose Stever Donnelly, 78, of Nassau and Port St. Lucie, Fla., died peacefully, Thursday, March 30, 2006 at her home in Port St. Lucie. Mrs. Donnelly was born in Malden Bridge, N.Y., the daughter of the late Frederick and Kate Stever. Mrs. Donnelly had lived in Nassau most of her life. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Nassau and was a member of the Chandler Young VFW Post #8162 and Nassau American Legion Post #1268 Ladies Auxiliaries. Mrs. Donnelly was predeceased by brothers, Ira, Delmar and William Stever; sisters, Betty Cook, Frances Scofield and Catherine Storm. She was the loving wife of Alphonse L. Donnelly; loving mother of Dennis F. Donnelly of East Nassau, Thomas L. Donnelly of Nassau and Paula (Donnelly) Gannon of Sand Lake; loving sister of Fred Stever of Old Chatham and Cornelia (Stever) Hahn of Nassau; loving grandmother of Yvonne Gannon Bauer, Michael Filipatos, Katie Donnelly, Angela Donnelly LaBombard, Casey Marie Donnelly and the late Colleen Donnelly; also survived by three great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews. Funeral from the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm Street, Nassau, Wednesday morning at 9:15 and 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Nassau, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be offered. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Nassau.
