Lillian Mae (Stowe) Foster, 80, of Springfield, Mo., passed away December 10, 2006, in Cox Medical Center South. Lillian, the daughter of Sherman Stowe and Eva Roberson, was born December 12, 1925, in Nevada, Kansas. On July 1, 1946, Lillian was united in marriage to William "Bill" Foster. Lillian was an avid bowler and together with her husband, operated L&B Catering Service, although her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bill; a son, Billie Foster; a brother, Wesley; three great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Jessica, and Andrew Huey. Survivors include a daughter, Linda Strain and husband, E. L. Strain, of Springfield; her grandchildren, Denice Wrinkle and her husband, Len, Brandon Huey and his wife, Wendy; great-grandchildren, Mason and his wife, Katie, Justin, Brennan, Hannah, Lindsey, Samantha and Connor; and sisters, Lois, Mabel, Leona, and Gloria. Also surviving are other relatives and many friends. Funeral service will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, December 16, 2006, in Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel. Lillian will be laid to rest next to her husband and son in Hazelwood Cemetery. Visitation will befrom 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, December 15, 2006, in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Judes.
